Homespun and Stylish

A quiet revolution has swept the country over the last two years, like a gentle tsunami laced with, well, lace, and buttons, and knitting wool. For everywhere you look, craft has enjoyed a subtle boon, from cool knitting clubs to vintage faires to TV programmes to craft “queens” like Jazz Domino Holly.

The trend hasn’t escaped Selina Lake, a celebrated interiors design stylist with two books already under her belt; ‘Bazaar Style’ and ‘Romantic Style’, who will release her upcoming title ‘Homespun Style’ later this year.

Selina will host a launch party next Friday 13th April at Hanbury Hall in Spitalfields, London, a free event with fizz and homemade cakes and stalls from some of the best crafters from around the country, including several sellers from Folksy, Britain’s loveliest arts and crafts marketplace, who are supporting the event.

To sign up to the launch party, visit Facebook, and to learn more about crafts in the UK, have a browse at www.folksy.com.
