First you make your fingers click…

Then you stamp your feet. And before you know it, your sense of rhythm and musicality improves. A clever new exercise from Artis, children click, stamp, slap and clap, each on a different beat of the bar. The activity can be extended by taking the words out and doing just the actions - this will develop pulse internalisation and children’s overall musicality.

This activity is a good warm up for a music session and also helps to get children ready for work. Particularly good for KS 2 and easy to try at home, in the classroom, in the park - even adults can’t resist.
