Dionne Warwick tours the UK
What do Dionne Warwick and The Rolling Stones have in common? They may not inhibit the same genre, but it’s a little known fact that they started their careers at the same time; just as the decade of love was unfolding in 1962. Fifty years on, both are household names and musical legends with their names firmly engraved in pop culture history.
Dionne Warwick continues to perform and create music that comes from the soul and will be coming to the UK for the first time since 2008 for a nationwide tour presented by Jazz FM that will celebrate her fifty years in the business; starting with a special charity performance on 28 May at the Royal Albert Hall for World Hunger Day 2012 and continuing with a string of Jazz FM dates around the country:
30th May: The Sage, Gateshead
31st May: Symphony Hall, Birmingham
1st June: Bridgewater Hall, Manchester
3rd June: Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham
4th June: Liverpool Philharmonic Hall
Dionne will also make a special appearance on the next Jonathan Ross show, alongside Keira Knightley and Denzel Washington. She will be performing live, so make sure you tune in this Saturday, 11th Feb.
